About the artist

Suzanne Coté obtained a Bachelors in Studio Art and Communications at Oneonta State University. After initially having a career in the Financial District of New York City, through travel in Europe a re-emerging passion for art and aesthetics compelled her to return to school for Interior Design in Denver.

While Apprenticing with a renowned muralist, Ben Brown, she rediscovered the pure gratification of putting color on walls in artistic ways. With brushes in hand and a renewed passion, she went on to study a broad range of techniques in Faux at The School of Applied Arts and continues to seek out novel methods to find inspiration through travel and private study with leading Artists in North America and Europe.

We are very thankful to Suzanne for adding her artistic touches to our custom Prarie home, Suzanne expertly re-textured and faux painted walls to blend with the architecture, wood-work and stone accents. She then created a faux stone finish over the center piece of our kitchen , perfectly replicating the natural features and color of the slate floor. We give our highest recommendation to anyone looking for beautiful and high quality results."

"Suzanne painted the columns in my entry to look like marble. First , when people enter, they notice they're beauty, but when I inform them that they are fauxed, they can't believe it!"
